Consultation structure

Prior to your consultation, you will receive a detailed health questionnaire for completion along with my terms of engagement form.

The questionnaire is vital for me to establish what your immediate health concerns are, what medication you take (past and previous) and your health history. This questionnaire includes a 3 day food diary that will help guide my recommendations at the first consultation.

First Consultation

Allow 1 hour for this consultation. This is your opportunity to tell your story and discuss your health concerns, current lifestyle and stressors that may be impacting on your health. I am often told by clients that just having the time to be heard is an important part of the therapeutic process relieving stress and triggering motivation for change.

At the end of the first consultation I may recommend some further testing and dietary supplements, alongside some dietary and lifestlye changes, that suit your individual needs and health concerns.

What's Next?

Our follow-up consultations are used to discuss test results and build on your progress by implementing further changes where necessary. Behind the scenes I use the research and test results to help identify the triggers and root cause behind your health imbalances and what changes may best acheive your health aims.

Research

Researching the evidence is a vital part of nutritional therapy and provides support upon which I base my recommendations for dietary supplements and functional tests. My approach is based on the Functional medicine model of health. Your story is embedded within a functional medicine matrix which highlights areas of health imbalances that need attention. We then focus our attention on these health imbalances at the next consultations, building on your progress and adapting your personalised recommendations.

Change takes time

To see real benefits in your health, requires time and motivation. If you are willing to dedicate your time to the process I can help you maintain the motivation. Nutritional therapy is not a quick fix solution, it is about educating and empowering you to make the right choices moving forward to sustain the health benefits you are now enjoying into the future, benefiting you and your family.
